Well what can I say, this company boasts great customer feedback and promises customers the best quality service..... Not in reality!
Their “customer service” is a joke and it has taken me 4 days to get through to customer service after our order hasn’t turned up nearly a month after placing it.
Your child starting school is meant to be one of the best milestones to reach and an exciting time but this company just leaves your angry and worried your children will have no uniform come September (August if you live in Scotland).
Don't get me wrong, their website and actually browsing products, finding your school and ordering is really nice, simple and quick, it's just what happens afterwards that has been the pain and the rollercoaster of worry and emotion.
So where do I start? I think probably when we didn't get any form of order conformation. Our order is there on the website account and when we've (finally) got through to speak to someone the order is there, but I like to have that confirmation with the order number and just as a little bit of evidence that I can produce to say "you've acknowledged that you've had our order" just as a bit of insurance in case they try to say we didn't order anything.
They also change their website and communications to suit. When we placed their order, their website said nothing about leaving 21 days for an order to arrive, it said 14 days, then when you try to call, you just get left on hold for over an hour to then be given no information as to why their running so behind or why their communications are so poor. It got to a point where I had to make 64 attempts to call them before someone even answered. Again even after placing our order, we had no communication saying that this had been extended to 21 days.
Even now when writing this, we're struggling to get any sort of communication on them in relation to possible delivery times and we're losing a day of possible progress due to the bank holiday. My worry is that this is going to be a constant circle of having to phone for an update, not getting through for hours and not really being given any information...then starting again! It's horrid as you have to call them as they don't answer their online contact for and the direct email address I had bounced as no longer in service.
I know I'm not the only one. A quick look through their Facebook page and Twitter feed and all you see are endless streams of people complaining about the service and not just this year. From the looks of it, this is an ongoing problem. Another horrid things is that there is no other shopping alternative for some of the items. For the logo uniform and school bag (a bag Lily has to have at her school), you can only buy them through School Trends! There's no local uniform shop or school shop to go to. Lily's school order stuff from School Trends themselves to then sell on, so the same delivery and issues arise that way. We just can't avoid them and it's infuriating!
It’s shocking! If you ever need uniform DO NOT GO TO SCHOOL TRENDS!! If you school uses them but doesn’t insist on logos uniform then you’re better off just staying away from them all together. If you know of any other companies to avoid or are actually capable of getting deliveries to you on time, do let us know!
